What's the difference between Free, Home & Home Pro plans?
Home Pro is tailored towards power users. If you have more than 25 devices at home and want to be able to control them independently in Vilfo by categorizing them into groups, then Home Pro is the plan for you.
If you have less than 25 devices at home and don't require more than three groups that are simultaneously connected to various VPN providers then the Home plan will suit you perfectly.
The Free plan allows you to control 20 devices, use 2 groups and 1 concurrent VPN tunnel. Notifications and the browser extension are also disabled when on the free plan.
Is a subscription required?
When purchasing the Vilfo Router, 1 year of Home Pro is included.
After the first year, a subscription is recommended to get the most out of your Vilfo. Without a subscription, you'll be downgraded to the Free plan.
What happens when the device limit is reached?
If you have chosen the Home plan and have more than 25 devices in your network, the extra devices will be moved to a Restricted group and you can not configure any settings for them. They will however still have an internet connection.

Do I need to purchase the hardware?
No. If you already own compatible hardware, you may purchase Vilfo OS and install it on your own hardware. Please reach out to support in case you have any questions.
Is it possible to use Vilfo OS for free?
Yes! After the free 14-day trial, Vilfo OS will be downgraded to the Free plan. It is possible to upgrade to a paid plan at any time, but it's not a requirement.
What's the difference between Business and Business Pro plans?
Business Pro is tailored towards companies with higher security needs.

Do I need to purchase the hardware?
For now, the hardware is a prerequisite in order to use Vilfo's software. We aim to allow the software to be purchased as a subscription plan in a few months for x64 and x86 based systems. Please reach out to support in case you want additional information.
