Vilfo OS certified hardware has in conjunction with the manufacturer, passed our extensive testing and review process, ensuring that Vilfo OS runs well out of the box.
Hardware you can trust with Vilfo
The primary reason ordinary routers are not suited to act as VPN routers is the slow processor. Ordinary routers don't need fast processors as their tasks aren't compute intensive.
VPN connections however are very compute intensive. The processor is used to encrypt and decrypt traffic which leads to a huge bottleneck if the processor isn't powerful enough.
Certified hardware has been put through extensive testing, and works incredibly well with Vilfo OS. They're also powerful enough to live up to our speed requirements.
